Divemaster
Working closely with a PADI Instructor, you'll expand your dive knowledge and hone your skills as you become a dive professional. PADI Dive master training develops your leadership abilities by training you to supervise dive activities and assist instructors with student divers.
You will get many open water dives as well as pool training with this class. As this is the most important step to becoming an instructor, you will train with multiple instructors with and without students to build your confidence, knowledge and to get hands-on experience.

The price for the DM class is NTD 33,000 which includes unlimited use of tanks during the class. It does not include any other equipment or materials. At this level it is very important that you have your own gear.

Additional materials that you’ll need:
1) The New Dive Master Crew Pack (AUD 299.91 + NTD 2,000) which contains: The Encyclopedia of Recreational Diving, Recreational Dive Planner,The Diving Knowledge Workbook, Divemaster Slates and The PADI Instructor Manual.
2) Divemaster application fee: AUD 196
PREREQUISITES

PADI Rescue Diver certification or qualifying certification from another training organization

60 logged dives to be certified

Emergency First Response Course or equivalent taken within the past 12 months

The Dive master Course is done in three segments:
1) Watermanship and Skills Assessment
This segment involves a 400-yard Swim, 15 Minute Tread, and 800-yard Snorkel Swim, General Diving Skills and Skill Circuit, Problem Solving, and Diver-Rescue Skills
2) Knowledge Development
This segment involves academics in Dive Planning, Dive Management, and Control, Supervising Students in Training, Physics, Physiology, Equipment, Skills and Environment, and the Recreational Dive Planner and Wheel. An exam is given for each of these topics.
3) Practical Application
This segment involves Underwater Mapping, Pool-Skills Overview and Practice, the Role of the Divemaster in Confined and Open-Water Training, and the Role of the Divemaster in Nontraining Activities.

During the Divemaster Course, you will be involved in ongoing courses to get the feel of what it is like to supervise students. Sign up for the Divemaster Course, become a PADI Professional, and maybe even start a new career in the Diving Industry.
